Hampton 6 - 0 Yaxley

It's going down to the wire between the Whites and Riverside as they tussle to the end for the second and final promotion spot.

The Whites secured a convincing victory against a Yaxley side this morning at Beaumont Way as they broke their two match losing streak in fine fashion. A loss today wouldn't have ended the Whites promotion push but would have handed the initiative to Riverside.
Ben and Reece celebrate Ben's goal

The Whites dominated from the start and rarely looked in trouble - William opened the scoring early on with a tap-in from close range. Plenty of Hampton chances followed but only one more went in before half-time when Cameron cooly finished past the keeper. If the descriptions of the goals seem vague, its because I can't remember all the details such was the excitement.

After half-time, William and Cameron shared the next two goals before Reece slammed the ball low into the corner of the goal and then Ben completed the scoring when he skillfully slotted the ball past the keeper, helpless against such class and quality.

Next up its Farcet away in two weeks. If Hampton win that then they're going up!

No camera today so you'll have to settle for this artists impression of the scene immediately after Hampton's sixth goal.
